Job summary

Southwest Airlines is seeking a Technology Project Manager to define complex project plans and roadmaps, manage scope, budget, and schedule, and execute tasks using standard PM practices. You will lead cross‑functional teams, collaborate with business partners and vendors, and drive progress toward project objectives in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires Agile experience, strong communication, stakeholder influence without direct authority, and the ability to keep projects on track

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
• Experience with Agile development practices and ceremonies.
• Strong customer service and team facilitation skills.

Responsibilities

• Define complex project plans and roadmaps, including scope, budget and schedule, and execute tasks defined in the project plan to achieve project objectives using standard project management methodologies and practices.
• Investigate project requirements and resources continuously to complete projects on time and within budget, managing risks, issues and mitigation strategies.
• Drive testing and acceptance of project deliverables.
• Collaborate with project managers, business partners and vendors to create a project team and provide ongoing motivation to drive projects to completion.
• Lead and facilitate project meetings and presentations to management.
• Set up and execute a project communication plan to maintain project alignment.
• Facilitate decisions between stakeholders and customers.
• Build partnerships to collaborate and influence stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes without direct authority.
• Work with development teams to ensure the project is completed as planned and track progress and costs using approved monitoring tools.
• Perform additional project responsibilities as directed by managers.
