Job summary

Stefanini Group is hiring a Lead DevOps Engineer for a contract role based in Richmond, VA. The position supports migration to CI/CD, automation, and cloud deployments across multiple products, with remote work options and W2 candidates only.

You will lead build and deployment activities, collaborate with developers and QA, enforce security practices, and evaluate new tools to improve speed, reliability, and scalability.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Java development and related frameworks.
• Experience configuring and maintaining build and deployment pipelines.
• Knowledge of CI/CD concepts, tools, and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and improves existing build and deployment processes across all products.
• Collaborates with Application Developers, QA Engineers, Product Owners, and others to create deployment best practices.
• Enforces best practices for security and reliability across ITS.
• Designs and deploys new application components and infrastructures; implements and maintains a CI environment.
• Supports and troubleshoots product and infrastructure issues in production environments.
• Writes configuration scripts for automation tools and automates recurring tasks.
• Monitors cloud-hosted apps and builds integrations; participates in deployment planning.
• Defines and documents CI/CD best practices; evaluates new tools and technologies.
