Job summary

Humana is seeking a Lead Data Scientist to transform large, complex data into advanced analytic solutions. You will develop data sets, reports, projections, models, and presentations to inform business strategy and tactics.

This role requires leading and advising executives on strategic analytics initiatives across diverse teams. With at least a Master’s, 8+ years of data analytics experience, and strong SQL proficiency, you will guide stakeholders and shape scalable solutions, including policy

Qualifications

Master's degree required.
8+ years of professional data/analytics experience.
5+ years of SQL experience.
4+ years of project leadership experience.
Experience in mathematics, statistics, modeling/ML, and business analysis to transform data into insights.
Experience advising executives on functional strategies.
Ability to work with minimal supervision and exercise independent judgment.

Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and collect structured and unstructured data sets for analysis and reporting.
Create reports, projections, models, and presentations to support business strategy.
Advise executives to develop functional strategies for significant matters.
Partner with cross-functional teams to implement scalable analytics solutions.
Shaping paths to measure ancillary/inpatient provider types and other opportunities in the future.
