Job summary

Marlabs is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable lakehouse architectures and enterprise data platforms that enable analytics, reporting, and AI-driven solutions. You will develop and manage secure ingestion frameworks (CDC, batch, API, file-based) from operational sources and create governed data models and metrics for trusted consumption.

The role requires strong Python and SQL skills, hands-on experience with Iceberg, Delta Lake, and Hudi, and collaboration

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering with end-to-end ownership of ingestion, transformation, storage and analytics delivery.
• Strong expertise in Python and SQL, including advanced data modeling, transformation frameworks, and performance optimization.
• Hands-on experience with lakehouse architectures and data platforms (Iceberg, Delta Lake, Hudi) and cloud-native solutions.
• Partner with AI/ML, platform engineering, and security teams to deliver governed data products and support regulatory compliance.
• Establish and enforce data governance standards, lineage documentation, and data contracts.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable lakehouse architectures and enterprise data platforms for analytics, reporting, and AI-enabled solutions.
• Develop and manage secure data ingestion frameworks (CDC, batch, API, and file-based integrations) from source systems.
