Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 4 years equivalent practical experience in a related field.
• 6+ years of relevant data engineering experience.
• Hands-on AWS-native lakehouse architectures with S3 and AWS services.
• Strong Python and PySpark ETL/ELT development experience.
• Experience with Apache Iceberg including ACID, time travel, and schema evolution.
• Advanced SQL for analytical queries and data visualization support.
• Knowledge of metadata, governance, and fine-grained access controls.
• IaC provisioning and multi-environment operations.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate batch and streaming data pipelines.
• Implement, test, and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines in Python/PySpark.
• Develop a Delta Lakehouse-style platform on AWS with Iceberg.
• Enable governance, lineage, and access controls across the lakehouse.
• Automate provisioning and CI/CD for data pipelines and platforms.
• Improve performance, reliability, and cost through tuning and metrics.
