Job summary

The Clinical Support Technician Lead will join Express Scripts Specialty Distribution Services (ESSDS) to oversee and support Pharmacy Technician Senior Representatives, supervising daily operations and ensuring accurate processing of specialty prescriptions.

This role offers remote work flexibility with periodic onsite Cigna locations, operating in Central Time hours and guiding training, coaching, and continuous improvement across the team.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Current Missouri Pharmacy Technician license in good standing required.
• Minimum of 3 years relevant experience; specialty pharmacy experience preferred.
• Previous training, coaching, or supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently in a remote work environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead onboarding and training programs for new technicians.
• Lead team training for current employees.
• Maintain up-to-date training materials for onboarding and recurring training.
• Assist team members via email and chat.
• Review and track daily work-in-progress numbers for queues.
• Report daily numbers to the Clinical Support Technician team.
• Conduct audits or data reviews as requested.
• Provide coaching for Clinical Support Technicians.
• Manage work queue assignments and adjust staffing as needed.
• Collaborate with resource planning managers for scheduling.
• Transmit prescriber faxes for state compliance items.
• Review and create Sig Codes in systems for accuracy.
• Review and revise SOPs and process updates.
• Conduct annual refresher training and assessments for data entry and phone pharmacy processes.
• Assist with day-to-day operations to support business needs and service levels.
