Job summary

Advocate Health seeks an experienced Quality Abstraction Registry Manager to lead a team responsible for clinical data synthesis, reporting, and compliance across enterprise registries. You will collaborate with facility executives and service lines, ensuring accurate data collection, interoperability, and adherence to regulatory standards.

The role emphasizes strong analytical skills, data management expertise, and effective communication with physicians, leadership, and external agencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in healthcare related field.
• Three (3) years of experience in quality, abstraction, registry with 1 year of supervisory experience in a healthcare environment.
• Experience in orthopedic and/or trauma settings is preferred (5 years) across OR, Med Surg, ER, ICU.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office and data reporting tools.
• Knowledge of applicable regulatory and accreditation standards for data reporting.

Responsibilities

• Manages a team to provide clinical synthesis, distribution, and analysis of internal and comparative data to support system goals.
• Translates operational needs into analytic and reporting strategies with cross-functional leaders.
• Oversees data collection and reporting and ensures compliance with submission standards.
• Coordinates registry compliance with state and federal regulations and external accreditation standards.
• Monitors interoperability and data validity processes to ensure accurate documentation.
• Leads multiple projects with minimal supervision and coordinates audits for reliability.
• Represents department in service line committees and provides required reports for quality improvement.
