Job summary

Tempus seeks a seasoned Biostatistician to lead design, analysis, and interpretation of complex clinical and real-world studies in precision medicine. You will guide high‑impact projects and collaborate across Engineering, Data Science, Clinical teams to translate research into actionable insights for physicians and patients.

Requirements include a Ph.D. or MS in Biostatistics with 4+ (PhD) or 6+ (MS) years of industry experience, expertise in survival analysis and SAP development, and fluency

Qualifications

• PhD or MS in Biostatistics or related field with 4+ years (PhD) / 6+ years (MS) industry experience.
• Expertise in advanced statistical analysis methods, experimental design, and survival analysis.
• Experience developing and reviewing SAPs and running analyses for complex studies with minimal supervision.
• Proficiency in R and other statistical software; strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert leadership in the design, analysis, and interpretation of complex clinical and real-world data studies.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Clinical/Medical, Data Science to translate research into insights.
• Lead development on statistical analysis plans, including sample size and power calculations.
• Oversee and independently execute analyses for high-complexity studies and address methodological challenges.
• Provide statistical support for regulatory submissions.
• Mentor junior and senior biostatisticians, performing SAP review and code validation.
