Eaton Group's Mobility division is seeking a Lead Automation Engineer to drive manufacturing efficiency through automation projects. This is a remote high-travel role; candidates must live in MI, OH, IL, IN, SC, NC, GA, TN, or KY and travel 50–75% across the USA.

You will identify automation opportunities, develop scopes of work, prepare financial justifications, and manage CARs for automation initiatives, collaborating with Finance and regional leadership.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of three (3) years experience in automating manufacturing processes.
• Remote work allowed within specified states; travel 50–75% across the USA.
• No immigration sponsorship offered for this position.
• States eligible: MI, OH, IL, IN, SC, NC, GA, TN, KY.

Aufgaben

• Identify automation opportunities within the North American region.
• Develop scopes of work for automation opportunities.
• Establish a reliable automation supply base and obtain proposals.
• Prepare financial justification for automation projects.
• Develop CARs for automation projects.
• Collaborate with Finance and regional leadership for CAR approvals; manage capital/expense spending.
• Procure equipment and tooling per project plan and standards.
• Investigate, analyze, and recommend new manufacturing methods.
• Coordinate best-practice implementation between facilities.
• Recommend and implement manufacturing improvements; provide troubleshooting for automated systems.
• Attend trade shows and seminars to stay current with automation technology.
