Job summary

Eaton's Mobility division seeks a Lead Automation Engineer to lead automation projects across multiple manufacturing sites. This is a remote high-travel role with 50-75% travel; candidates must reside in MI, OH, IL, IN, SC, NC, GA, TN, or KY.

You will identify automation opportunities, develop scopes of work, justify capital projects, and coordinate with finance and regional leadership to secure CAR approvals.

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and/or Engineering Technology from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in automating manufacturing processes.
• Remote work eligible; must reside in MI, OH, IL, IN, SC, NC, GA, TN, or KY; travel 50-75%.

Responsibilities

• Identify automation opportunities within the North American region.
• Develop scopes of work for automation opportunities.
• Establish a reliable automation supply base and obtain proposals.
• Prepare financial justification for automation projects.
• Develop CARs for automation projects.
• Manage capital and expense spending for assigned projects.
