Job summary

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Lead Analyst, Commercial Data & AI to drive end-to-end analytics and AI enablement for global Commercial systems. You will build trusted data assets, KPI frameworks, and predictive/genAI solutions to improve lead generation, opportunity management, and customer engagement.

You will partner with Marketing, Product, Sales, and Data Strategies to ensure data quality and responsible AI practices, while guiding analysts and scaling data workflows across the organization.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in analytics, data science, or marketing/customer analytics, including hands-on CRM/lifecycle measurement.
• Advanced SQL skills (complex joins, window functions, CTEs) and experience working with large-scale, complex datasets.
• Proven hands-on experience with Alteryx Designer to build, automate, and optimize end-to-end data workflows.
• Strong ability to clean, blend, and transform large, complex datasets from multiple sources.
• Knowledge of Orthopaedics products, procedures, and customer profiles.
• Experience translating business questions into hypotheses, analytical approaches, and clear recommendations on optimal data structure to meet stakeholder needs.
• Ability to partner effectively with cross-functional stakeholders and influence without direct authority.
• Knowledge of data privacy concepts relevant to CRM (consent, suppression, PII handling) and comfort working within governance controls.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to create executive-ready materials.

Responsibilities

• Build and govern customer data assets: Partner with Data Strategies to define source-of-truth datasets, data definitions, and quality monitoring; document logic and ensure reproducibility.
• Data Quality & integrity: Monitor and improve data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across systems.
• GenAI for Commercial enablement: Prototype and evaluate generative AI use cases with guardrails and measurement.
• Stakeholder leadership: Partner on analytics intake and prioritization for CRM and other Commercial platforms; translate questions into hypotheses and deliverables.
• Commercial measurement and insights: Define KPI frameworks, translate needs into data models, communicate insights to leaders.
• Responsible data & AI: Ensure compliance with data privacy, consent, security, and governance policies; identify bias risks.
• Mentorship: Coach analysts on analytical rigor, SQL best practices, and reproducibility.
