Job summary

Dexcom is hiring an experienced algorithm engineer to lead modeling, simulation, and analytics for next-generation biosensing technologies. You will build first-principles and data-driven models to understand complex sensing phenomena and guide development decisions.

Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, you will design experiments, evaluate feasibility, and influence technology roadmaps while communicating results to leadership.

Qualifications

• PhD in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, Biophysics, or related field with 2–4 years industry experience; or MS with 5–7 years relevant experience.
• Strong foundation in mathematical modeling, simulation, statistics, and machine learning.
• Experience with first-principles and predictive modeling of complex systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead algorithm, modeling, and simulation activities supporting emerging sensing technologies.
• Develop first-principles, mechanistic, statistical, and machine-learning models.
• Design experiments and analyses to evaluate technology feasibility and performance limits.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to identify opportunities and risks for novel sensing approaches.
• Create simulation environments and predictive models to guide investment decisions.
• Apply advanced analytics to uncover patterns from experimental data.
• Communicate findings to technical and business stakeholders.
