Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking a Lead AI Engineer to guide AI-enabled software delivery. You will lead production-grade Java services, architect Angular frontends, and manage AWS infrastructure. You will leverage Claude Code to boost engineering workflows and mentor teams on best practices.

The role supports remote work within Georgia with opportunities for global collaboration and relocation options. Strong leadership and English proficiency expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of full-stack experience focusing on backend Java services and cloud-native architecture.
• At least 1 year of leadership experience.
• Production experience with Spring Boot, containerized services on AWS.
• Proficiency in Angular, RxJS, SPA deployments via S3 and CloudFront.
• Experience with serverless concepts using Lambda and Lambda@Edge.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and delivery of production-grade Java services using Spring Boot.
• Architect frontend components with Angular, focusing on efficient architecture.
• Oversee AWS CDK stacks and infrastructure for Fargate, ALB, Lambda, CloudFront.
• Drive serverless workflows and edge logic for authentication and CDN features.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines in GitLab and promote best deployment practices.
• Leverage Claude Code to streamline development and AI-enabled workflows.
• Mentor teams on AI tool adoption and full-stack delivery.
• Ensure quality through code reviews, testing, and architectural standards.
