Murchison & Cumming, LLP is seeking an experienced Law & Motion Attorney to lead research, briefing and dispositive motion practice, including Motions for Summary Judgment. This remote position is available to attorneys residing in California, with in-person attendance when hearings are needed.

You will collaborate with litigators across the firm, shape litigation strategy through rigorous analysis and persuasive writing, and help advance case outcomes.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active and in good standing with the California State Bar.
• Significant law-and-motion and California civil litigation experience.
• Exceptional legal research and writing skills.
• Strong analytical and oral advocacy abilities.
• Demonstrated experience with dispositive motion practice.

Responsabilités

• Conduct complex legal research and analysis.
• Draft and revise dispositive and other substantive motions.
• Handle Motions for Summary Judgment and related briefing.
• Develop legal strategy in collaboration with litigation teams.
• Prepare for and participate in oral argument as appropriate.
• Advise attorneys on procedural and substantive legal issues.
• Support matters across general liability and other civil litigation practices.
• Maintain familiarity with developments in California civil procedure and relevant case law.
