Job summary

Albert & Mackenzie, a well-established workers’ compensation defense firm in California, seeks a Law Clerk. The role emphasizes writing, case management, and research.

You will work with attorneys to summarize case law, prepare client reports, and coordinate with lien claimants in a fast-paced environment. Remote option available or in one of several CA offices; you must be planning to take the July 2027 California Bar Exam, have passed the MPRE, and secure Moral Character clearance by September

Qualifications

• Must have a law degree from an accredited law school.
• Exceptional writing, proofreading, spelling and grammar skills.
• Strong knowledge of Outlook, Word, Adobe Acrobat and Dropbox or similar cloud storage.
• Ability to interact effectively with the public, clients and staff; maintain confidentiality; work independently.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to juggle multiple projects under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate with lien claimants.
• Navigate a case management system.
• Write reports for clients.
• Summarize recent case law and updates.
• Perform other duties as assigned by attorneys.
