Job summary

Merit Medical Systems, Inc. seeks a Compliance Specialist to support Latin America and the Utah headquarters from a remote location in Latin America or onsite in Utah.

You will drive risk-based compliance strategies, partner with Sales, Legal, Finance, and Quality, and ensure adherence to laws and Merit policies across regions. The candidate brings 5+ years in compliance or related fields, fluency in English and Spanish, excellent communication, and the ability to lead investigations and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 5+ years of experience in Compliance, Legal, Audit, Risk Management, or related functions.
• Experience in highly regulated industries preferred.
• Ability to influence stakeholders and build credibility across levels.
• Experience managing investigations, third-party due diligence, and monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders to ensure the compliance program prevents violations.
• Provide practical, risk-based compliance guidance for business decisions.
• Serve as primary Compliance contact for Latin America.
• Review activities including interactions with HCPs, sponsorships, and grants.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate compliance risks with proactive management.
• Oversee third-party due diligence and conflicts of interest processes.
• Develop education, training, and communications on compliance requirements.
• Participate in investigations, monitoring, and remediation initiatives.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Legal, Finance, Privacy, Regulatory, Quality, HR, and others.
• Support deployment and continuous improvement of policies and procedures.
