Job summary

Oxbow Pool and Landscape Contractors, based in Napa, CA, seeks an experienced Estimator to lead preconstruction and budgeting for landscape and pool projects. You will collaborate with project managers, designers, subcontractors, and suppliers to produce complete, accurate estimates before construction begins.

This role reports to the Head of Estimating and requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with Excel and estimating software.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in construction estimating, landscape architecture, or a related field.
• Landscape or building construction experience strongly preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and math skills with exceptional attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage estimating and preconstruction activities from initial plan review through final bid submission
• Maintain estimating schedules and meet all assigned deadlines
• Review construction drawings, specifications, and design documents with accuracy
• Prepare complete and detailed scopes of work for all trades and subcontractors
• Perform accurate quantity take-offs and pricing analysis
• Develop detailed project estimates, budgets, and bid leveling sheets
• Coordinate with landscape architects, engineers, and consultants to clarify scope and design intent
• Support project managers with clean handoffs from estimating to construction
• Assist with final bid assembly and respond to client questions as needed
• Develop strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing
