Job summary

Oxbow Pool and Landscape Contractors, based in the Bay Area, seeks an experienced Estimator to lead preconstruction and estimating for landscape and pool projects in the Napa area. You will collaborate with project managers, designers, subcontractors, and suppliers to prepare accurate, competitive estimates that drive successful bids.

The role requires 3-5 years in construction estimating, with a Bachelor’s preferred, strong Excel skills, and the ability to manage multiple estimates and

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in construction estimating, landscape architecture, or a related field.
• Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel as primary estimating tool.
• Experience with Pro-Est or other cloud-based estimating software is a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Manage estimating and preconstruction activities from initial plan review through final bid submission.
• Maintain estimating schedules and meet deadlines.
• Review drawings and design documents with accuracy.
• Develop clear qualifications, exclusions, and assumptions.
• Coordinate with landscape architects, engineers, and consultants to clarify scope, materials, and design intent.
• Support project managers with clean handoffs from estimating to construction.
• Assist with final bid assembly and respond to client questions as needed.
