Job summary

Century Complete seeks an experienced Land Acquisition Manager to identify and evaluate opportunities, manage land data, and support development profitability.

You will build relationships with landowners and brokers, conduct financial analyses, and assist with LOIs and land packages for senior leadership review. This role emphasizes strategic sourcing across the Greater Charlotte area and beyond, with a focus on entitlement feasibility and market timing.

Qualifications

• Experience in land acquisitions, planning, and development.
• Knowledge and existing relationships of/in the local land market.
• Knowledge of Fair Housing Laws.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret financial reports or legal documents.
• Capacity to plan, organize, manage, and supervise activities of direct reports.

Responsibilities

• Identify new land acquisition opportunities aligned with the division's strategy.
• Research sites using maps; assess utilities, zoning, topography, and entitlements.
• Maintain tracking logs of viable tracts and comparable transactions.
• Follow municipal agendas to identify acquisition opportunities.
• Develop relationships with landowners, brokers, and professionals to source deals.
• Prepare LOIs and detailed land packages for approval to the Asset Management Committee.
• Assist with pro formas, cash flow analyses and pricing assumptions for acquisitions.
• Produce CMA reports to compare product lineups and pricing.
