Job summary

United Natural Foods, Inc. seeks a Labor Relations Manager to support operations across multiple states with remote work options.

You will advise HR and Operations, manage grievances, prepare for arbitration, and assist with collective bargaining while ensuring compliance with CBAs and labor laws. Requires a Bachelor's degree and 5–7 years in labor relations or related fields; travel up to 75% is expected; strong written and verbal communication is essential for collaboration with unions,

Qualifications

• Strong working knowledge of labor relations principles, CBAs, grievance and arbitration.
• Knowledge of NLRA and related employment laws.
• Experience in labor negotiations and union dispute resolution.

Responsibilities

• Serve as expert on issues under collective bargaining agreements and advise on labor law matters.
• Handle grievance administration, case summaries, and arbitration risk assessments.
• Represent UNFI in grievance meetings, labor-management discussions, and arbitration cases with counsel.
• Prepare internal arbitration materials and coordinate with legal teams.
• Support chief labor negotiator in collective bargaining and proposal analysis.
• Maintain relationships with union reps, HR, and operations for proactive issue resolution.
