Job summary

Coforge is seeking a Senior Kubernetes Engineer to design, deploy and manage production-grade Amazon EKS clusters using Infrastructure as Code. You will shape multi-cluster, multi-AZ architectures, implement high availability, and drive cost optimization through autoscaling and efficient resource governance.

You will implement advanced networking, IRSA permissions, RBAC, and observability with Dynatrace, Terraform, and GitOps workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of IT Infrastructure, Cloud, or Platform Engineering experience.
• 4+ years of hands-on Kubernetes cluster administration in production environments.
• Strong experience designing, building, and operating Amazon EKS clusters end-to-end.
• Hands-on experience with Karpenter or Cluster Autoscaler for dynamic node provisioning.

Responsibilities

• Design, provision, and manage production-grade Amazon EKS clusters across environments using Infrastructure as Code.
• Architect multi-cluster, multi-AZ Kubernetes environments with high availability and workload isolation.
• Manage full cluster lifecycle — provisioning, upgrades, node groups, add-ons, decommissioning.
• Design and implement Kubernetes networking — VPC CNI, ingress, DNS, and service mesh.
• Implement autoscaling using Karpenter and/or Cluster Autoscaler; design cost-optimized node pools.
• RBAC and IRSA for permissions management across namespaces and teams.
• Build Terraform for VPC, IAM, ECR, and EKS infrastructure.
• Establish observability dashboards and alerts with Dynatrace; collaborate with DevOps and SRE teams.
• Resolve production incidents related to cluster infrastructure, scheduling, and storage.
