Job summary

LanguageLine Solutions LLC is seeking a Kapingamarangi/English interpreter to work from home as a remote independent contractor. The role covers on-demand interpretation across multiple sectors with emphasis on confidentiality and cultural sensitivity.

Training is provided and advancement opportunities exist within a certified ASTM and ISO environment. The position requires strong listening and note-taking skills, reliability, and the ability to handle emotional calls.

Qualifications

• Must read and write the requested languages; highly preferred.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• No visa sponsorship required now or in the future for LanguageLine Solutions.

Responsibilities

• Respond to interpreting sessions promptly and professionally.
• Render correct concepts and meanings per interpretation protocol.
• Speak clearly in both languages with proper pronunciation and expressions.
• Maintain a professional demeanor throughout sessions.
• Remain calm during sessions, including emergency calls like 911.
• Maintain punctuality and availability during work hours.
• Follow client instructions to meet LEP expectations.
