Job summary

Connections Academy seeks certified Substitute Teachers to support learning programs remotely for students across the country from a home office. As teacher of record at Wyoming, you cover 2–20 week assignments with average 8–12 weeks, using LiveLessons and curriculum tools to help students succeed.

The role is part-time with no benefits. You must hold a valid full state teaching certificate, multiple state certs a plus, and commit to regular hours 8:00 am–4:00 pm in the school time zone.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid and active full state teaching certification.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher required.
• Multiple state certifications a plus; ability to obtain others as requested.
• Strong communication skills and ability to manage time effectively.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Google Apps.

Responsibilities

• Be online and available to students, parents, and school staff Monday–Friday 8:00 am–4:00 pm in the school’s time zone.
• Develop and update individualized learning plans and schedules; provide feedback on student work.
• Complete grading, generate progress reports, and conduct parent conferences as instructed.
• Support instructional program via synchronous and asynchronous sessions (LiveLessons).
• Assist students and parents with alternate instructional strategies and daily assignments.
• Maintain up-to-date student records and data; coordinate with counselors and special educators.
• Check email regularly for new assignments and updates.
• Attend monthly video conferences with Substitute Services supervisor.
• Complete required professional learning and maintain active certifications.
