Job summary

ProCare Therapy is seeking a qualified Remote Sign Language Interpreter (STI) to provide virtual interpreting for K12 settings across Alabama, supporting students, educators, and families. You will interpret for IEP meetings and remote educational sessions, maintain confidentiality, and uphold professional standards while working in a fully remote environment.

Candidates should have a Bachelor's in ASL or Educational Interpreting, EIPA 3.5+, RID/NIC preferred, and 3+ years of educational

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in ASL or Educational Interpreting.
• EIPA score 3.5 or higher.
• RID Certification preferred.
• NIC Certification preferred.
• Minimum 3+ years of experience as a Sign Language Interpreter in educational settings.
• Experience interpreting for K12 students, teachers and school staff in Alabama.
• Proficient in American Sign Language (ASL).
• Experience providing remote interpreting for IEP meetings and remote education.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate and professional remote interpretation for students, teachers, parents, and school personnel.
• Support communication during classroom instruction, IEP meetings, medical appointments and other virtual sessions.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional interpreting standards and ethics.
• Demonstrate reliability, professionalism, and strong communication skills in a remote work environment.
