Job summary

Florida Connections Academy is seeking an Assistant Manager of School Counseling to support students remotely across Florida. You will work with the Manager of School Counseling and the Leadership Team to help students complete their instructional program and navigate course selections.

The role requires deep knowledge of Florida graduation requirements, strong communication skills, and the ability to coordinate counseling services in a fast-paced online environment.

Qualifications

• Five years of school counseling and leadership experience.
• Florida Professional Teacher Certification in School Counseling.
• ESOL Endorsement or Certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Florida graduation requirements and accountability framework.
• Technologically proficient with Microsoft Office and Google products.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

Responsibilities

• Advise students and families on academics, career planning and graduation.
• Coordinate course selection and credit requirements for grades 6-12.
• Lead and collaborate with the school counseling team and teachers.
• Maintain accurate transcripts and PLP records.
• Support students through crisis prevention and college prep activities.
