Emergency University is seeking a remote Junior Software Engineer to help build and maintain our online training platform. This full-time, remote role offers growth and advancement within the company.

You will collaborate with senior developers, write clean code, and contribute to features across the stack. The ideal candidate has a CS degree, 1–2 years of experience, and a passion for learning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in software development.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g. Java, Python, C++).
• Experience with web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Familiarity with relational databases and SQL.
• Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Passion for learning and self‑improvement.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with senior developers to design, develop, and maintain our online training platform
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to implement new features and improve existing ones
• Write clean, efficient, and well‑documented code
• Troubleshoot and debug technical issues
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback
• Keep up‑to‑date with emerging technologies and industry trends
• Continuously improve development processes and practices
