Job summary

Canonical is seeking an entry-level communications specialist to join the remote-first communications team in the EMEA region. You will manage content across social channels, analyze performance, and craft messaging that aligns with Canonical’s brand vision.

The role emphasizes ownership, experimentation, and collaboration across product launches and education efforts. Ideal candidates are tech‑savvy, with a passion for marketing automation and data‑driven decision making.

Qualifications

• Experience managing social media platforms for tech brands.
• Proficiency with multiple social platforms including LinkedIn, YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Reddit.
• Analytical eye for content performance and platform-specific objectives.
• Experience with educational content funnels and using video as a core asset.
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills; ability to collaborate across teams.
• Willingness to travel up to 4 times per year for internal events.

Responsibilities

• Create, schedule and publish content and campaigns across multiple social media channels.
• Deliver regular analysis and reporting on social media metrics and campaign results.
• Support growth and engagement of Canonical’s social media audiences.
• Develop messaging that aligns with the brand and drives audience action.
• Execute A/B and multivariate growth tests.
• Engage with audiences and moderate communities across platforms.
• Create awareness on integrated campaigns, product launches, and webinars.
• Package Canonical’s offerings and educational content creatively.
