Job summary

Jobot is seeking a newly licensed or very junior Associate Attorney for a fully remote role in the United States (Texas, California or Tennessee). The position offers a starting salary around $80,000+ with potential growth and a training-forward environment.

You will work under senior litigators to develop deposition, motion practice, and trial readiness in a broad commercial and insurance defense portfolio.

Qualifications

• Newly licensed or early in their first year of practice.
• A strong legal writer.
• Detail-oriented and highly attentive.
• Eager to learn litigation from experienced attorneys.
• Comfortable receiving hands-on training and feedback.
• Interested in eventually taking depositions, appearing in court and developing into a true trial attorney.
• Entrepreneurial and interested in growing with the firm long term.
• Candidates awaiting bar results may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage litigation matters over time.
• Draft substantive motions, briefs and pleadings.
• Conduct and defend depositions.
• Prepare cases for trial.
• Work directly with clients.
• Develop case strategy and take increasing ownership.
