Job summary

Mattiace Legal LLC in New York is seeking a Junior Litigation Associate for a remote role (preferred in NY or NJ). This full-time position offers a base salary of $95,000 to $135,000, commensurate with experience, and a path to growth within a growing boutique.

You will draft pleadings, manage discovery, take depositions, and appear in court as allowed, while collaborating across employment, business counseling, and estate planning practices.

Qualifications

• Junior litigation associate with up to four years of experience.
• Admission in New York or New Jersey, or a clear path to admission.
• Experience drafting pleadings and motions, running discovery, taking and defending depositions, and appearing in court.
• Self-starter who thinks independently and can work with clients from the start.
• Willingness to participate in business development and client management.
• Familiarity with CPLR or New Jersey Court Rules and e-filing, or the drive to learn quickly.

Responsibilities

• Draft pleadings and motions, run discovery, and take/defend depositions.
• Appear in court as experience allows.
• Work directly with clients from day one.
• Collaborate across employment, business counseling, and estate planning practices.
• Participate in networking and develop a client base with firm support.
• Utilize AI tools to serve clients efficiently while maintaining ethics.
