Job summary

Kooth plc is seeking a Full-Stack Software Engineer I to contribute from day one, building features across the stack and learning alongside more senior colleagues. The platform has been rebuilt to support more young people worldwide in 2027, with interesting problems to solve together.

The role focuses on RESTful Node APIs, React frontends or React Native apps, trunk-based development, automated tests, and infrastructure-as-code. Hybrid/remote work options are available.

Qualifications

• Enthusiasm for software engineering, across the whole stack.
• Some knowledge of Javascript or Typescript, and of database technologies such as PostgreSQL.
• Web or mobile application development experience using React or React Native.
• Worked in a cloud native environment like GCP or AWS with Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Design and build RESTful Node APIs and React frontends and/or React Native mobile apps.
• Regularly release working software using trunk-based development and automated tests.
• Incorporate performance, resilience, observability, maintainability, security and accessibility.
• Shadow the on-call rota and collaborate with other disciplines.
