Job summary

Kooth, the UK’s leading digital mental health provider, seeks a Full-Stack Software Engineer I for UK remote work. You’ll contribute across the stack, building RESTful APIs with Node and frontends with React or React Native.

The role supports a growing platform aimed at helping young people worldwide. You’ll learn alongside senior engineers, shipping features with trunk-based development, automated tests, and infrastructure-as-code.

Qualifications

• Enthusiasm for software engineering across the whole stack.
• Problem-solving mindset and willingness to contribute to technical decisions.
• Knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript, and PostgreSQL; experience delivering a web or native mobile app.
• A quality mindset and focus on maintainable, well-tested code.

Responsibilities

• Design RESTful Node APIs, React frontends and/or React Native mobile apps.
• Regularly release working software using trunk-based development, automated tests, and infrastructure-as-code.
• Incorporate performance, resilience, observability, maintainability, security and accessibility.
• Collaborate with other disciplines and build effective relationships.
• Align with user needs and Kooth commercial and operational goals.
• Deepen knowledge of trends and best practices through pairing and knowledge sharing.
• Shadow the out-of-hours on-call rotation.
