Job summary

Kooth plc seeks a Junior Full-Stack Software Engineer I to contribute to a squad from day one, building features across the stack and learning from more senior engineers. The role supports Kooth's new platform designed to help young people globally in 2027.

You will work on RESTful Node APIs, React frontends and possibly React Native apps, releasing code via trunk-based development and applying IaC and CI practices in a cloud environment with Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate enthusiasm for software engineering across the full stack.
• Knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript and database technologies such as PostgreSQL.
• Experience with web or native mobile app development using React or React Native.
• Familiarity with agile processes, trunk-based development, and automated testing.

Responsibilities

• Design and build RESTful Node APIs, React frontends and/or React Native apps.
• Release working software regularly using trunk-based development and CI practices.
• Apply performance, resilience, observability, and security considerations.
• Collaborate with other disciplines to meet user and business goals.
