SOUND DECISIONS is seeking a junior software engineer to gain hands-on experience in a structured, learning-focused environment. You will work with a small senior team, handling production scope early and developing deep debugging skills to bridge AI outputs and customer-facing software.

The role emphasizes understanding how systems work, not just how to make code compile, with opportunities to work on full-stack projects using TypeScript and Node.js and to learn from production-grade practices

Qualifications

Strong fundamentals in data structures and algorithms.
Experience with TypeScript and full-stack web development.
Familiar with Git, PRs, branching and code reviews.
Experience with AI coding tools and responsible review.
Ability to work independently on defined tasks and seek help when needed.

Responsibilities

Contribute to software development across projects and languages.
Maintain existing systems and implement new features in a full-stack capacity.
Translate product and business workflow requirements into practical software solutions.
Write unit, functional, and automated tests with guidance from senior engineers.
Use AI tools responsibly to accelerate learning, coding, debugging, documentation, and test creation.
