Reddit is seeking a Junior Full-Stack Software Engineer on the Business Manager team. This remote role involves building and shipping features across frontend and backend services, collaborating with product managers, designers, and engineers to translate requirements into working software.

You will own end-to-end services, including design, testing, observability, and incident response. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of full-stack experience, proficiency in Go or Python, JavaScript/TypeScript

Qualifications

• 2+ years full-stack software engineering experience building production services at scale.
• Proficiency in Go or Python; plus experience with service frameworks (gRPC/Thrift) and API design.
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and React.
• Experience with distributed systems, data modeling, and event-driven architectures (e.g., Kafka/PubSub).
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL datastores (e.g., Postgres, BigQuery, Cassandra) and caches (e.g., Redis).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to understand requirements and translate them into working software.
• Design, build and ship full-stack features across frontend and backend services.
• Own services end-to-end: technical design, implementation, testing, observability, SLOs, incident response, and iterative hardening.
