Placements24 is seeking a Junior Civil Engineer for a fully remote internship focused on road and earthworks design. You will collaborate with experienced engineers, contributing to design drawings, calculations, and project documentation in a digitally connected environment.

Ideal candidates are recent graduates with a strong interest in transportation engineering, familiar with AutoCAD and Civil 3D, and capable of working independently in a remote setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Strong interest in transportation engineering and earthworks.
• Willingness to learn AutoCAD and Civil 3D.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation of design drawings for roads, intersections, and earthworks using CAD software.
• Perform basic calculations for road geometry, earthwork volumes, and drainage components under supervision.
• Support senior engineers in development of project specifications and documentation.
• Conduct literature reviews and research for design standards and best practices.
• Help coordinate project activities with other disciplines and team members.
• Participate in virtual project meetings and contribute to discussions.
• Learn and apply company design standards and procedures.
• Assist in preparation of tender documents and cost estimations.
• Maintain organized project files and records in a digital format.
• Develop understanding of site investigation processes and data interpretation.
