Association of periOperative Registered Nurses (AORN) seeks a Managing Editor and Team Lead to guide the AORN Journal’s editorial strategy, production, and day-to-day operations from a remote location. You will lead a talented editorial team, collaborating with the Editor-in-Chief and publisher to deliver timely, evidence-based content for perioperative professionals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Journalism, Publishing, or related field.
• Minimum of 6 years publishing experience, including journal editing/production.
• 1+ years of team leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Journal editorial strategy, production, and day-to-day operations.
• Supervise editorial team and coordinate with Editor-in-Chief and publisher.
• Manage content planning, calendar, budgets, and workflow optimization.
• Lead pre- and post-production reviews, proofs, and cover approvals.
• Coordinate with publications, marketing, and external partners.
