Job summary

Leidos LLC is seeking a Java Web Application Developer to design, build, test and maintain full‑stack web applications for defense users. The role supports a team of engineers to meet operational requirements, validate requirements, and implement automated tests.

Required are strong Java EE/Jakarta EE skills, experience with SQL/PostgreSQL, and front-end tech like HTML/CSS/Angular. The position allows remote work from Alexandria, VA area and requires a Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• US citizen with active Secret clearance
• Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of relevant experience or Master’s degree with 2+ years of relevant experience
• 3+ years of experience developing, deploying, and maintaining full‑stack web applications and software systems
• 2+ years of experience identifying and validating requirements for software applications
• 2+ years of experience with web UI components including HTML, CSS, JavaScript (NodeJS) and Angular

Responsibilities

• Join an existing team of web developers to provide full-stack web applications that support operational requirements
• Document and validate web application requirements
• Develop automated tests that align with test plans
• Provide architectural design and development support to fulfill web application requirements
• Participate in software design discussions and recommend use of relevant tools, technologies and techniques
• Aid in refactoring/updating existing web applications to add new features and improve reliability and performance
• Ensure compliance with software security requirements by reviewing the cybersecurity posture of web applications
