Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Software Engineer to support the development of a modernization framework and contribute to enhancements of existing business applications. This position is 100% remote and offers a salary range of $51,000 - $82,000.

The ideal candidate will have experience in Java EE applications and development in AI and cloud environments. Responsibilities include code maintenance, API integration, and collaboration with senior developers.

Qualifications

0 years with BS/BA; 4 years of experience with HS Diploma/equivalent.
Able to obtain Public Trust clearance.
Must be a US Citizen.
Experience with AI development.
Cloud development experience preferred.
Must have experience developing Java EE applications on WebLogic Application Server.
High-level knowledge of Relational Database Management Systems.

Responsibilities

Assist in developing and maintaining Java-based components within the modernization framework.
Support refactoring efforts for legacy components under senior developer guidance.
Participate in implementing APIs, integrations, and backend services.
Write clean, maintainable code following defined coding standards.
Assist in documenting technical requirements, system behaviors, and application architecture updates.
Perform basic unit testing and assist with debugging activities.
Collaborate with mid-level and senior developers during design sessions and sprint ceremonies.
