Job summary

Din Development Corporation seeks a Java Full Stack Developer to translate legacy COBOL into modern Java within a microservices architecture for DoD-related projects. You will design, refactor, and implement software across multiple platforms while contributing to pre-production efforts and feasibility analyses.

This role requires deep Java expertise, experience with full-stack web technologies, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Five years of experience in Java full stack development or equivalent.
Experience translating legacy COBOL or mainframe code to modern Java.
Security clearance: Secret / IT-II Non-Critical Sensitive or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Translate legacy code base into modern Java within a microservices architecture.
Refactor legacy COBOL/ASM/JCL code and perform static analysis of the baseline.
Leverage AI/ML tools to translate legacy code where appropriate.
Develop and optimize code for CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native environments.
Support integration of modern UI/UX, service layer, and modern relational databases.
Prepare and participate in on-site meetings as needed (Columbus, OH).
