Job summary

ELYON International is seeking a Java Developer for the BEARCATT project focused on application modernization and Azure cloud migration. This remote role reinforces a team delivering scalable, cloud-ready Java applications, resolving production issues, and migrating legacy systems to modern frameworks.

In an Agile environment, you will collaborate with business and technical teams to ensure successful modernization objectives, including ongoing enhancements, bug fixes, and deployment activities

Qualifications

• Strong experience developing Java-based enterprise applications.
• Experience supporting and troubleshooting production systems.
• Knowledge of Java 8, JSP, JavaScript, and web application development.
• Experience working with Oracle databases and Linux environments.
• Familiarity with source control tools such as GitLab.
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve production and internally identified application defects.
• Develop enhancements and implement bug fixes for enterprise applications.
• Support modernization efforts by migrating legacy technologies to current frameworks and architectures.
• Participate in infrastructure setup and migration activities supporting Azure Cloud adoption.
• Collaborate in Agile ceremonies, including story grooming and sprint planning.
• Assist in defining and refining acceptance criteria for development stories.
• Contribute to code reviews, testing, deployment, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Work closely with business and technical teams to ensure successful delivery of modernization objectives.
