Job summary

Brooksource is seeking a Junior Java Developer to join a high-impact engineering team supporting operational systems within a large-scale airline environment. The role focuses on modernizing legacy systems and migrating critical applications to the cloud (Azure).

You will contribute to migration projects, work on backend with Java and Spring Boot, update the frontend with Angular, and participate in CI/CD and DevOps within an Agile team.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of software development experience.
• Strong foundation in Java and object-oriented programming.
• Experience with Spring Boot and frontend Angular.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure or AWS) and SDLC/Agile practices.
• Exposure to CI/CD with GitHub Actions.
• Understanding of DevOps concepts.
• Experience with full-stack applications and distributed systems (e.g., Flink).

Responsibilities

• Migrate legacy on-prem apps to Azure.
• Develop backend using Java + Spring Boot.
• Update frontend with Angular.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps efforts.
• Collaborate in an Agile team across multiple squads.
• Support troubleshooting and enhancing existing systems.
