BairesDev in Chile is seeking a Backend Engineer to design and develop microservices using the JVM ecosystem, with Spring Boot at the core of our architecture. You will build scalable REST APIs, ensure data persistence with JPA/Hibernate, and work on real-time data pipelines with Kafka in a fully remote team.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of backend software engineering experience.
• Proficient in Java 11+ and Spring Boot.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Strong knowledge of JPA/Hibernate and SQL databases.
• Hands-on with Docker and Kafka.
• Advanced English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement high-performance microservices and REST APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
• Manage data persistence and complex queries with JPA/Hibernate and SQL databases.
• Develop and maintain real-time data pipelines and messaging with Apache Kafka.
• Ensure code quality and reliability with unit testing using JUnit.
• Containerize applications and manage deployment with Docker for consistency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and integrations.
