Job summary

Nasscomm is seeking a Java Backend Developer for a remote, 11+ month engagement with Deloitte's Federal Division. You will build scalable backend services and RESTful APIs in Java, and deploy on Google Cloud Platform using serverless and container-based approaches.

The ideal candidate has 5–10 years of software development experience, strong cloud and security fundamentals, and hands-on work with CI/CD, IaC, and observability tools.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of software development experience, backend focus.
• Strong Java backend and REST API design experience.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform and container/serverless architectures.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and operate backend services and RESTful APIs in Java.
• Deploy and manage applications on GCP using serverless and container-based approaches.
• Ensure security, observability, and reliable production support across services.
• Collaborate with QA, DevOps, product, and security stakeholders.
