Job summary

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking a Java Application Architect for a 100% remote role within the United States. The position focuses on architecting, designing, and developing enterprise-grade web applications and distributed systems at scale, leveraging Java, Spring, and microservices.

The successful candidate will bring strong backend Java experience, frontend knowledge with React, and a track record of delivering secure, performant software in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or closely related technical discipline.
• Five or more years of professional software development experience building production-grade enterprise applications.
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and end-to-end system design principles.
• Advanced working knowledge of Java (11/17), Spring Boot, and RESTful API design.
• Hands-on experience designing and operating microservices architectures.
• Proven experience developing front-end applications using React; familiarity with Angular or Vue is a plus.
• Strong SQL skills with relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL/Oracle/SQL Server).
• Experience with CI/CD tooling and Git workflows.
• Hands-on experience deploying to major cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Strong debugging and root-cause analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade web applications and distributed systems.
• Translate business requirements into robust technical designs and production-quality code.
• Deploy cloud-native services and support them through their full operational lifespan.
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, DevOps, and fellow developers in an Agile environment.
