Job summary

The Washington State Department of Social and Health Services seeks a Jail Technical Assistance Manager to become a trusted resource for jails statewide, strengthening behavioral health support for people in custody. You will listen, connect with experts, and facilitate collaborations across agencies to improve access to resources and telehealth services.

You will lead committees, deliver trainings, and develop resources while representing DSHS in statewide forums.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required with six years of relevant professional experience.
• Minimum five years building and maintaining effective partnerships including work under legal requirements.
• Minimum five years delivering virtual and in-person training and managing complex projects.
• Minimum five years helping partner organizations solve problems and access resources, including creating high-visibility materials.
• Minimum two years of experience developing curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Build trusted relationships with jails and partner agencies across Washington.
• Troubleshoot forensic behavioral health issues and connect to resources and experts.
• Lead a committee to identify and solve problems with partners.
• Create monthly presentations for jails and partners on relevant topics.
• Coordinate speakers and learning opportunities, both virtual and in-person.
• Represent DSHS on statewide councils and partner forums.
• Develop training materials, guides, reports, and web content for partners.
• Manage projects from planning through implementation and evaluation.
