Job summary

Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) Technology Services seeks an IT Systems Analyst to support Building Automation and CMMS systems across the university. You will serve as a solutions architect, blending deployment planning with hands-on technical support to ensure security, reliability, and performance of facilities systems.

The role emphasizes collaboration with Facilities Management and central IT teams, with opportunities to deepen skills over time in a highly collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent training and experience.
• 3-5 years of experience deploying and configuring Windows servers, operating systems, and applications.
• 3-5 years of experience working with relational databases (MS SQL preferred).
• Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into functional technical specifications.

Responsibilities

• Support deployment and maintenance of Building Automation System (BAS) and CMMS servers, databases, and applications.
• Blend deployment planning with software implementation and hands-on technical support.
• Coordinate with Facilities Management and central IT teams on infrastructure, security, and access control.
• Create and maintain clear documentation for systems, workflows, and processes.
• Collaborate daily with cross-functional teams to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
