Job summary

The City of Austin is seeking an IT Solutions Architect to define and design architecture that drives the City’s future-state business capabilities and business models.

This role aligns IT with enterprise strategy, collaborates with stakeholders, and leads cross-functional teams to implement Maximo-related upgrades and integrated interfaces, with telework up to 95% and on-site work at Austin Energy Headquarters.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 4 years of experience, or Master’s degree with fewer years of experience.
• Experience with enterprise Maximo upgrades, interfaces, and architecture diagrams is preferred.
• Knowledge of architecture methodologies and modeling languages (TOGAF, UML, ArchiMate) is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Define and design IT architecture that enables future-state business capabilities.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to develop an IT investment roadmap and value cases.
• Lead enterprise architecture development across business, information, application, and technology layers.
• Advise product managers on designing business capabilities and processes to enable technology solutions.
