Voya Financial is seeking an IT Security Manager to lead a team of 8–10 engineers responsible for authentication, API security, and web security operations. You will drive productivity, establish clear ownership, and implement structured intake and workflow management to deliver secure customer-facing platforms.

The role requires strong leadership, IAM/web security expertise, and collaboration with Digital, Application Development, and Business teams.

Qualifications

• 7+ years leading technical teams, with IAM, authentication, or web security focus.
• Experience implementing or improving workflow processes, intake models, SLAs, and dashboards.
• Strong collaboration with application development and digital product teams.
• Proven ability to translate business needs into structured, actionable work.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of ~8–10 engineers focused on authentication, API security, and web security platform delivery.
• Drive productivity, accountability, and output optimization.
• Establish clear ownership, priorities, and expectations across the team.
• Build structured intake processes for work requests from digital/application teams.
• Transition from ad hoc tracking to formal workflow management (e.g., ServiceNow).
• Define SLAs, prioritization models, and delivery timelines.
• Implement tracking, reporting, dashboards, and performance metrics.
• Ensure visibility into work status, throughput, and delivery outcomes.
• Partner with Digital, App Development, and Business teams.
• Translate business requests into structured, actionable work for the team.
• Act as liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders.
• Communicate delivery timelines, risks, and outcomes clearly.
• Oversee delivery and configuration across IBM Verify Identity Access and IBM DataPower.
• Support secure, scalable customer-facing applications.
• Guide changes, enhancements, and configurations; drive continuous improvement.
• Introduce governance, quality control, and accountability frameworks.
• Improve documentation, intake, and delivery practices.
