Job summary

Alpaca, a US-headquartered broker infrastructure company, is seeking an IT Security Engineer to own identity, endpoint, and email protection across our remote workforce. You will define security standards, measure controls, and partner with IT, DevOps, and GRC to keep systems secure.

You will lead IAM/SSO, MFA, privileged access, and phishing-resistance while ensuring secure network access, domain protection, and incident response.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in IT security or security engineering
• Experience with identity providers and SSO (SAML/OIDC)
• Experience enforcing phishing-resistant MFA (FIDO2)
• Experience with zero-trust or device-posture controls

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain IAM and SSO standards across cloud, SaaS, and internal systems
• Own MFA standards and enforce phishing-resistant methods
• Maintain privileged access policies and periodic reviews
• Lead identity, endpoint, and email aspects of security incidents
• Partner with IT to ensure security controls are adopted without slowing business
