Job summary

Alpaca is a US-headquartered global leader in agent-first brokerage infrastructure, serving hundreds of financial institutions in 40 countries. We are hiring for a security-focused role to own identity and access controls, define SSO and MFA standards, and collaborate across IT, DevOps, and Security teams.

The role reports to the Enterprise Security Architect and contributes to protecting workforce identities, endpoints, and critical systems in a dynamic, distributed environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of IT security, identity security, or security engineering experience.
• Hands-on with an identity provider and SSO (SAML & OIDC).
• Experience with zero-trust network access, email authentication, and incident response.

Responsibilities

• Own security standards and controls for workforce identities, endpoints, and critical systems.
• Partner with IT, DevOps, Engineering, GRC, and the wider Security team.
• Report to the Enterprise Security Architect.
• Define and maintain SSO standards across cloud, SaaS, and internal systems.
• Own MFA standards including phishing-resistant methods.
• Maintain privileged-access standards and periodic access reviews.

Job description

Who You Are (Must-Haves):

• 3+ years of experience in IT security, identity security, or security engineering.
• Hands-on experience with an identity provider and SSO, including SAML and OIDC.
• Experience with zero-trust network access, email authentication, and incident response.
